Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CuSync ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the CuSync development team. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time; continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

CuSync is available to enrolled students, staff, and administrators with access to a supported university ERP system. You must be at least 18 years old and have a valid ERP or Google account to use the App.

3. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your ERP credentials.
• You must not share your account or credentials with others.
• You authorize CuSync to access your ERP data (attendance, circulars, timetable) solely for the purpose of displaying it within the App.
• You may optionally authorize CuSync to access your Gmail inbox (gmail.readonly) to allow administrators to extract timetable PDFs. This authorization can be revoked at any time.

4. Permitted Use

You agree to use CuSync solely for lawful, personal, and academic purposes. You must not:

• Attempt to scrape, automate, or mass-extract data from the App or the ERP system
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Use the App to harass, harm, or impersonate any person
• Circumvent any security or authentication measures
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent

5. Third-Party Services

CuSync integrates with the following third-party services:

• Google OAuth 2.0 / Gmail API: Governed by Google Terms of Service
• University ERP System: Subject to your institution's own usage policies
• Google AdMob: Ad delivery service; subject to Google Privacy Policy
• Google Gemini AI: Used for AI-powered timetable parsing; no personal data is submitted

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of any third-party services.

6. Premium Features

Certain features of CuSync may require a premium subscription. Premium access may be granted by administrators or unlocked through in-app purchases where applicable. All purchases are final and non-refundable unless required by applicable law.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and features of CuSync are the intellectual property of the CuSync development team. ERP and timetable data remains the property of the respective university. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without express written permission.

8. Disclaimers & Limitations

CuSync is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Accuracy of ERP data, attendance records, or timetable information
• Continuous, uninterrupted availability of the App
• Compatibility with all devices or operating system versions

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CuSync shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to CuSync at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to the App or its users.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.
